Why have you used castes(last name) in biographies?

There is no Caste System in Sikhism, caste system in the truest sense is described as "untouchability to the person of lower caste".All Sikhs in Gurdwaras clean, cook and eat Langar together equally in front of Guru, they are all equal . That does not mean that we should shun the professions of our ancestors. Problem is that some professions are described as better then others. Profession of farming is no better then Ironsmith or Carpenter or anyone else.

Professions that are "described" as castes like "Ramgarhia for Carpenter", "Jutt for Farmer", "Mazhabi for Worker" "Luhar for Ironsmith", etc, etc, are not castes when followed by Sikhs. These are their ancestorial professions. A Ramgarhia has every right to be proud of his ancestors as Jutt and Jutt is no better then Mazhabi or Ramgahia or Luhar, it is just another profession or Work. All works are good! Guru Nanak Dev ji himself was employed in many of these professions, he was a Jutt as well as a Businessman, meanwhile Guru Arjan Dev ji and Guru Gobind Singh ji binded books as well as learned the art of creating weapons.

Last name in this website are reminders to our current generation that Khalsa in its glorious day was together and not divided like we are now! These last names point out to each and every "Modern" Sikh that Sikhs are one and equal., That is the reason why I have specifically pointed out the last names in this website where sole reason is to show contributions of each and every Khalsa towards Protection of Sikhi. I wanted to tell everybody story of Bhai Jaita ji Ranghreta, Bhai Jassa Singh Ramgarhia, Bhai Jassa Singh Ahluwalia, Bhai Nawaab Kapoor Singh , Bhai Sukha Singh and Bhai Mehtab Singh., how they all united and fought for protection of Sikh, that is what we now need to do!

Can you please add a link to my Sikhism site?

Yes! Please follow this link to add your Sikhism, Punjab, Computers, culture, music and other sites.

I am offended how could you do this?

This site is a serious effort on my part to understand the Sikh history from the available evidence. I have deliberetely kept out the myths that have creeped into Sikh society owing to other major communities that sorrounds most of the Sikhs. If I have offended you please send me an e-mail, and if there are at least two or three Sikhs (Independent of each other) who think that "document x is not right" I will modify it.
